About your team

We are a cross-functional team of machine learning engineers and data scientists, passionately solving the problem of confidently predicting customer demand for our MOIA services! We aim to combine internal and external data with state-of-the-art prediction models to run a reliable production service which is the single source of truth for future demand with the MOIA system. 

We build features based on data and leverage various data sources within MOIA to train machine learning models and derive insights for our business and future product development. 

We live by the mantra: “you build it, you run it”. We strive for calm nights and weekends without incidents by delivering software with the highest engineering quality. We prioritise cross-functional collaboration and knowledge exchange within the team. 

What you will do

  • Shaping, driving and executing the demand and supply planning product strategy together with your team of engineers and data scientists
  • Explaining complex requirements and coherences towards your team and all involved stakeholders
  • Improving our demand prediction service with your team to provide connected MOIA systems and teams with up-to-date demand predictions.
  • Contribute to MOIAs strategic demand and supply planning process and consult stakeholders on future demand developments
  • Taking hands-on responsibility to develop a platform that manages complex data pipelines as well as production-grade machine learning applications.
  • Driving a culture of excellence: Product Owners are the powerhouse of our Product Management team and are the gatekeepers of our core values. You will manage unknowns and uncertainty and take responsibility for serving our operational partners and customers in the most convenient and efficient way.
  • You inspire and coach your team with clear missions and expectations.

What will help you to fulfil your role

  • Visionary: You like to see the full picture, craft compelling visions for your ideas, and understand what makes your products commercially viable (or not) 
  • Pragmatist: You get things done, identify problems and are effective in prioritisation of challenges to unblock you, your team and others. 
  • Communicator: People enjoy working with you because you communicate well with your team and different stakeholders.  
  • Ability and interest to work in a dynamic and ever-changing environment, 
  • Fluent communication in English is required, German is a plus
  • Nice-to have: You have an understanding or insights from spatial and temporal data of mobility business You bring along experience on building a scalable machine learning platform. Real-world experience in data science is a plus.
