About your team

The “Payment Passenger” Team is responsible for providing a convenient and secure payment experience to our passengers. Our team integrates payment flows in a wider distributed system of MOIA and constantly collaborates with other teams to build together key features for the product, as well as drives the development of our own value streams, such as vouchers, discount packages, and tipping for our drivers. To achieve our goals, we build and operate backend microservices and mobile app components with a focus on future proof and resilient architecture. 

What is a Chapter Lead at MOIA?

As a Chapter Lead, you will have a 50:50 role of people responsibilities and day-to-day work. You are not only responsible for the development and growth of your chapteescoaching, but also being involved and being hands-on in the daily task and business. 

What you will do

  • As Chapter Lead, you enjoy spending up to 50% of your time on very empathetic people leadership tasks – depending on your and your chaptees preferences.
  • Connect with your chaptees across teams to enable their career development at MOIA
  • Together with the other Chapter Leads in MOIA, you will contribute to enhancements in our culture and organisational setup in times of growth
  • Together with the other developers of the team, you will contribute to a resilient distributed system which provides a smooth and friction free payment experience to our customers
  • You will breathe agile working methodologies: you follow DevOps best practices, automated testing, infrastructure as code, continuous deployment and production observability.
  • In collaboration with other roles, you will be responsible for fair and unbiased salaries across your chapter  

What will help you to fulfil your role

  • You have experience in leading people and taking care of their career growth 
  • You have previous experience in attracting and retaining talent
  • You are aware of the dynamics in organisational development
  • You have experience with or a strong interest in developing software in Scala in a functional programming style.
  • Feedback in general and specific in pairing and code review is important for you.
  • With your customer-centric mindset you are able to drive the team’s contribution to their value-stream.
  • Previous experience in Kubernetes and AWS would be a bonus
