About your team

The street routing team is responsible for an essential part of MOIA's business model. The system helps us safely guide our ever-growing fleet of vehicles through cities and predict accurate ETAs for our customers. By understanding MOIA’s unique operational constraints, and how our vehicles move through the streets of our cities, we continuously optimize our routing algorithms to maximize our route efficiency and customer satisfaction. The Quality Specialist will be an integral part of our cross-functional team consisting of a PO, geospatial engineers, android developers and data scientists, to help us achieve these goals.

What you will do

  • Be part of a cross-functional team that values automated testing and practices continuous delivery
  • Promote a culture of quality in the team, and make the team feel confident about releases.
  • Help the team to define appropriate quality metrics and targets during all stages of the software development lifecycle, and ensure they are tested and measured.
  • Take part in investigation of issues reported by customers, drivers & other MOIA internal stakeholders. Proactively track bugs to successful resolution, while keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Through your day-to-day work identify useful debugging tools and features that would make your own work easier. Build them together with the team.

  • You are experienced in designing and building automated tests for superior reliability and easier maintenance
  • You look forward to the challenge of working in a domain that requires a solid mathematical understanding and an analytical mindset.
  • You are curious about how things work and eager to learn what it takes to get the job done.


It would be a bonus if you bring one or more of the following with you

  • Take lead in orchestrating both regular field test activities and major feature rollouts. This may include both desk testing and real-life end-to-end testing involving real drivers and vehicles.
  • Quality assurance in the street routing team is more than about building reliable and performant softwares. Together with our knowledgeable engineers and data scientists, you will come up with non-traditional / creative ways of testing the quality of our non-deterministic systems.
  • It would be a bonus if you can drive and have a valid German driver’s license, so you can sometimes hop in a company car and test our navigation system out in the real world.
  • Interest to work in the geospatial domain is highly welcomed, but prior knowledge is not mandatory
  • You have great communication skills and comfortable liaising not only within the team but also with our stakeholders
